SCA Coffee Skills – Barista Intermediate

True Stone is an accredited Premier Training Campus for the Specialty Coffee Association, part of an international educational network allowing coffee professionals around the world access to structured, standardized education and the ability to pursue their dreams of a career in specialty coffee.
Over 2 days of class and one of exams, we will cover the core and advanced skills expected from a competent cafe manager or lead barista. Successful candidates will be able to dial in an espresso recipe with confidence, prepare a full range of drinks with maximum skill, workflow and station management, as well as understand the basics of espresso and grinder mechanics including minor and preventative maintenance.
The course includes 10-14 hrs of hands-on coursework, and 2 hours of written and practical exams.
Students registering for this class must have passed the Foundation level or equivalent barista course.
