Open Barista Training

The True Stone coffee lab is a state of the art, SCA-certified facility for all things related to coffee extraction. Twice a month, we open our doors to provide guided training opportunities to the Twin Cities barista community and beyond. This class is open to the general public, but geared toward wholesale partners who want to provide training for new employees or develop advanced techniques for lead baristas and managers. Depending on the needs and interests of our attendees, we can cover the following topics.

• Brewing and extraction science
• Palate development
• Manual and automated brewing technique
• Basic and advanced espresso technique
• Guided latte art design and practice
• Bar efficiency and workflow
• Cafe management, developing in-house training programs
