Kayon Mountain Farm has been owned and operated by Ismael Hassen Aredo and his family since 2012. The farm is 500 hectares of gorgeous land nestled between the villages of Taro and Sewana. 300 of those hectares are dedicated entirely to coffee. The farm also boasts its own nursery and milling/drying equipment for processing. Washed coffees are picked and de-pulped the same day.

25 staff members are needed year round, but harvesting/processing season brings 300 seasonal workers to the farm. Ismael pays them all a competitive wage to compete with a local mine, and encourage workers to return season after season.
